Who We Are

The Fernwood Fire Brigade was started by Andrew Edmonds, the first of three, who bought a 1931 Model A that had originally been a cable car in Wilmington Delaware where he and his father lived. He would continue to build, sell and rebuild the fire department throughout his life. Upon his passing the the trucks passed to his son Andrew Edmonds Jr. who moved the trucks up from Florida back to Wilmington. Please use the “Our Fleet” drop down to learn more about our vehicles! Now they are operated as a charity to share the love of antique vehicles with the community. We do parades, community days, touch-a-trucks, trunk-or-treats or anything that brings people together. Hit the book now button or reach out by any of the means on our Contact page to inquire about having us come to your event!
